Ash and Oak: two shepherd huts in a hedge-lined meadow

Ash and Oak are two family-run shepherd huts at Temple Bruer in Lincolnshire, each with its own wood-fired hot tub, set in a hedge-lined grass meadow. Each hut is for two adults only (over 18), and well-behaved dogs are welcome in Ash Hut. Oak Hut faces south and Ash Hut east; otherwise both huts have the same layout, and are designed to offer you a calm and serene space where you can escape to the country and relax in complete comfort.

Stayed here for my birthday. It was amazing. Loved the fireplace. Will defo be back here again.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay here to celebrate our anniversary! What an amazing place this is, having everything you could possibly need! The hot tub was lovely under the stars and fairy lights and we loved toasting marshmallows! Would definitely recommend staying here to our friends and family!

What a wonderful weekend, we definitely needed this break and I'm so glad I chose this shepherd's hut. The hot tub & fire pit added that extra touch. Had a fantastic, relaxing break. So peaceful and the shepherd's hut is delightful, you have thought of everything (although couldn't find the plug for the sink!). We will be back when we need another break from busy life.

My boyfriend and I loved staying here! The hut is absolutely adorable and the surrounding area is beautiful for walking and cycling. We had an amazing time doing both, and also thoroughly enjoyed a barbeque, prosecco and hot tub in the evening! The layout is so clever and cosy, with everything we needed and more! We wish we could have stayed longer, but will definitely be back.

Activities

Lincoln Cathedral and Lincoln Castle are about 14 miles away by road: see our guide to visiting Lincoln. Navenby, two miles from the huts, has a Co-op, Welbourne’s bakery and the King’s Head, and the 13th-century Knights Templar tower at Temple Bruer is free to visit in daylight. For aviation history, the International Bomber Command Centre and RAF Waddington are both within half an hour.

Questions guests ask before booking

How many people can stay?

Each hut sleeps two adults, both over 18; we do not take children. Groups of up to four adults can book Ash Hut and Oak Hut together.

Can I bring my dog?

Well-behaved dogs are welcome in Ash Hut. If you would like to bring a dog to Oak Hut, or more than one dog, please ask us before you book.

Is the hot tub private?

Yes. Each hut has its own wood-fired hot tub for two on its own enclosed lawn, and we provide a starter pack of logs.

How do we book?

How far is Lincoln?

About 14 miles by road, around half an hour by car. Navenby, with shops and pubs, is two miles away.

Glamping Guidelines

PLEASE READ OUR GUIDELINES

Our aim is for everyone who visits Temple Bruer Glamping to have a relaxing and peaceful stay; therefore, we draw your attention to the following:

Watch your step. There are steps leading to the decking in front of each hut; please take care when using the steps.
Be mindful of noise levels and observe quiet time between 10:30pm and 7:30am.
Respect the comfort, privacy, and convenience of other site guests. To ensure tranquillity for everyone on-site, please keep musical instruments, radios, and so on at a considerate noise level.
Respect other guests’ privacy at all times and do not cut across occupied hut private areas.
If taking photographs or videos for personal use, guests are requested to be mindful of others and respect the privacy of other guests.
Guests must drive their vehicles with particular consideration for pedestrians or others who have priority over vehicles on our road/track. Vehicle speeds should never exceed 5mph.
Field entrance gate to be closed after every use.
Arrival time on-site is after 3:30pm. Please do not arrive any earlier than this time in order to allow our team to prepare the hut for new guests arriving. This is also important so that departing guests leave the campsite safely. Once you have arrived on-site, please park your vehicle in the space allocated to your hut.
Please dispose of your waste in the appropriate area and recycle as much waste as possible.
Guests are responsible for the behaviour of their pets and for ensuring they are not a nuisance to other guests. Pets should not be left unattended at any time. All pets must be contained securely, either within an appropriately ventilated vehicle or purpose-designed cage, and secured by a lead at all times not more than 2 metres long. Guests must always clean up after their pets.
Guests are requested to vacate the shepherd’s hut by 10:30am.

For the comfort and safety of all guests, including those with allergies, please do not smoke in the shepherd huts.
